Help Me Make A Montage!! http://premiumvideoimage.com/help-me-make-a-montage/ Mon, 08 Oct 2018 17:00:28 +0000 http://premiumvideoimage.com/?p=136 + Read More]]>

One of the most common calls we get is to help with making a montage.  Video montages are most commonly used at Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, but are also regularly used at other events like a milestone anniversary.

Some people attempt to make the montage themselves using a generic slideshow maker that came bundled with their computer, others desire a more professional product.  Aside from the obvious reasons to have a montage “professionally” made, the most compelling reason to do so is simply that it gets done.  The reason I say this is that many of our clients admit to first trying their hand at doing the montage themselves but could not get it to look or play right.  I have seen a handful of home-made montages that looked great, but have also seen some disasters.

The first piece of advice I tell clients is to get a pretty good idea of what you want.  Specifically, how long you want it to be, how many and what type of audio, and the overall tone of your montage.  A montage is a form of production and are best received when they represent at least minimal planning and structure.  I prefer montages that are strictly organized chronologically and find that montages that are overly grouped (1st section just baby-13, 2nd section child+parents baby-13, ….) are difficult to watch.

The second piece of advice I give, whether you are doing it yourself or to a professional, is to be organized.  Prepare all your media in appropriate folders separating pictures, videos and audio.

Finally, I advise to collect between 250 to 325 photos and a handful of cute videos for an average slideshow.

A good montage is a lifetime asset.  My clients tell me that they watch their child’s montage for years afterward and enjoy sharing it online through social media.  We have a wide spectrum of packages for montages and are usually able to “save the day” in cases where the event is just a day or so away, and have even once pulled an all-nighter to get one done the day before the event!!

Why clients create video content for their websites http://premiumvideoimage.com/why-clients-create-video-content-for-their-websites/ Fri, 07 Sep 2018 02:54:00 +0000 http://premiumvideoimage.com/?p=94 + Read More]]>

WHY CLIENTS CREATE VIDEO CONTENT FOR THEIR WEBSITES

The first 20 years of traditional websites contained thousands of words.  We now live in a fast-moving digital generation that simply does not read.  Cisco predicts that video will account for 82% of all consumer internet traffic by 2021.  People just don’t read, and they trust what they see over what they read.  In fact, a recent study discovered that 88% of online consumers rely on the reviews of others in making a decision, and that video interviews, reviews and/or testimonials were as much as 30 times more effective and credible than written ones.

Video content is not only more interesting to webpage visitors, it actually drives traffic to your site.  Videos are not only informative and promotional, they also can benefit your business by acting as an educational tool to answer many of the questions your customers and/or clients have before, during and after your services.  In fact, doctors for example are employing videos on their websites and social media platforms to address patient questions.  These videos are not only educational to the client, and act to persuade them to use your services, they actually save your time and resources as you would otherwise have to educate each client/patient independently.

4K Becomes The Standard http://premiumvideoimage.com/4k/ http://premiumvideoimage.com/4k/#comments Mon, 26 Mar 2018 21:37:25 +0000 http://premiumvideoimage.com//?p=1 + Read More]]> Not that long ago, 4K and Ultra HD video seemed like something only used in Hollywood, a technology fit only for first adopters with thick wallets. Flash forward a few years and Ultra HD has become the new standard. For us, it is the standard.

Is there a difference between 4K and UHD?
At the consumer level, no. But for professionals in the video production or cinema industry, the difference is not just about the number of pixels. Along with the birth of 4K, a whole new generation of video gear blossomed. In the professional world, 4K is a digital cinema standard that calls for a 4096 x 2160 pixel resolution.

Do I want 4K production?
One might as well ask: Do I need a Porsche? No, of course not! You can do just fine with a reliable Toyota, can’t you? Likewise, the standard 1080p production is still impressive, however, compared to 4K it’s just in a different ballpark.

Is there a price premium for Ultra HD production?
No. We have already made the investment and since it is the standard of what we shoot and produce, our prices remain the same. Keep in mind that even though we shoot in 4K, the end product is always delivered in 1080p and 4K and can be shared at even lower resolutions, like 720p.

If you have any doubts, seeing is believing. Go to BestBuy and watch a 4K and a 1080P television side-by-side. You will be convinced!
